Gordon Wu proposes reclaiming more than 2,000 hectares
Gordon Wu has thrown a new reclamation challenge at the Carrie Lam administration.
Hopewell Holdings chairman, Gordon Wu Ying-sheung has today proposed building houses on 2,180 hectares of reclaimed land on the eastern side of Lantau Island.
He also suggested reclaiming 445 hectares more near the Lamma Island.
Wu proposes linking Kau Yi Chau, Hei Ling Chau, Peng Chau and Sunshine Island through reclamation.
Wu formed Hopewell in 1964 and listed it on the Hong Kong Stock exchange in 1972. He was knighted in 1997.
